Qld: Police divers search river for backpacker's belongings
Queensland police divers are searching the Burnett River at Bundaberg for belongingsof murdered British backpacker CAROLINE STUTTLE.
The 19-year-old's dark blue Nokia mobile phone, a grey handbag and a purse have beenmissing since she was attacked in the city, 350km north of Brisbane, eight days ago.
Ms STUTTLE'S body was found under the Burnett River Bridge after an apparent robbery.
Police believe she was attacked and then possibly thrown from the bridge to her death.
The teenager was still clutching a purse strap when her body was found.
An autopsy revealed she had been assaulted and died from severe head and spinal injuries.
