NSW:Boxing Day ferries suspended for race
SYDNEY, Dec 23 AAP - Sydney ferry services will be disrupted on Boxing Day when the
Sydney to Hobart yacht race kicks off.
The annual Boxing Day fixture begins at Rushcutters Bay at 1pm (AEDT).
The NSW Transport Management Centre says there were will an exclusion zone on the harbour
for the start of the race and ferry services between Manly and Circular Quay will be suspended
between 11.40am and 2.40pm.
Ferries to and from the eastern suburbs will be suspended between 11.15am and 1.10pm
as the yachts leave the Cruising Yacht Club at Rushcutters Bay.
Extra buses will operate during the day and special event clearways will be in place
in Mosman, Edgecliff and Watsons Bay from 9 am until 6 pm.
