QLD: Plane crash survivor moved to Townsvile hospital ICU

BRISBANE, Jan 18 AAP - The sole survivor of Saturday's light plane crash near Coconut
Island in the Torres Strait has been moved to Townsville for specialist treatment, as a row
brews over air safety standards in the Strait.

A Townsville General Hospital spokeswoman said the 27-year old woman from Yam Island in the
Torres Strait was in a serious but stable condition in the intensive care unit, after being
airlifted from Cairns last night.
