Fed: Sercome says let Solomons choose PM

The opposition is urging Australia and other Pacific nations to be tactful .. as Solomon
Islanders set about choosing a new prime minister to replace SNYDER RINI.

Labor spokesman BOB SERCOMBE says it's important there be no corruption of the process
.. even though some horse trading is the nature of politics.

Mr RINI resigned on the floor of parliament this morning after losing the support of
a majority of MPs parliament.

His election last week sparked rioting and looting which devastated the capital .. Honiara.
